Let’s have it right, wouid we be knocking wolves’s door down if he was still their manager. This smacks of an agent in Moshiri’a ear.Raul Jimenez got injured and that was the end of them, no focal point. Worryingly, he had no Plan B, no way of altering the team to play a different way. That and Fabio Silva is dreadful.
Someone said above they were decent for a bit early in the season, but they weren't; they just had a lot of nice easy fixtures in October and they either won them narrowly or didn't lose. Outside of Everton, they were the most aimless, pointless team in the league all season.
He's not the worst candidate by virtue of not being Eddie Howe, but he's just one of many mediocre ones. The problem is he hasn't done enough to justify a big job. He's did what a load of ultimately crap managers do here - decent initial impact, not maintained. We've given jobs to these types before in Martinez/Silva and it doesn't work out as the job is too big for them.
He can't be the best manager available in world football given the stupid wages we pay. We have to remember we're still one of the top 20 richest clubs in world football.
Attacking football? We aren’t Man City or Barcelona and don’t have the players to play attractive football above everything else. Sometimes to become a better side you first need an identity, shape and system before adding things.clear way of playing that isn't exactly the attacking football we all desperately crave
lol we were man city back when City were mid-table ravagers. and if we want to develop a clear identity and ethos its best to get a manager with a more progressive way of playing instead of a guy whos Wolves team might have been the only side more of a chore to watch than usAttacking football? We crave WINNING football.
What even is "attacking football"? I want a style that puts more in the other teams net than they put in our net.
Well put it this way, what we’ve just sat through was not that.
I really don't care about style as long as it is aggressive and with full commitment. Winning football matches is what we need to get better at. The rest is neither here nor there.
I think it would be an average, distinctly uninspiring appointment, but if he joins us then I'll get behind him. What else is there to do?
