Raul Jimenez got injured and that was the end of them, no focal point. Worryingly, he had no Plan B, no way of altering the team to play a different way. That and Fabio Silva is dreadful.

Someone said above they were decent for a bit early in the season, but they weren't; they just had a lot of nice easy fixtures in October and they either won them narrowly or didn't lose. Outside of Everton, they were the most aimless, pointless team in the league all season.

He's not the worst candidate by virtue of not being Eddie Howe, but he's just one of many mediocre ones. The problem is he hasn't done enough to justify a big job. He's did what a load of ultimately crap managers do here - decent initial impact, not maintained. We've given jobs to these types before in Martinez/Silva and it doesn't work out as the job is too big for them.

He can't be the best manager available in world football given the stupid wages we pay. We have to remember we're still one of the top 20 richest clubs in world football.
Let’s have it right, wouid we be knocking wolves’s door down if he was still their manager. This smacks of an agent in Moshiri’a ear.

If we are going for a manager from the premier league. If that’s the route Moshiri wants to go, then it has to be potter for me. At least they attack and create chances.

But really I’d like to see us think a little outside the box, what about the guy who’s just won the the league at Lille. And then left . I will be honest don’t know loads about him , but seems quite loyal. 8 years at St Etienne and 4 at Lille. Doing very good jobs at both.

Ultimately this should be Brands job. Moshiri hasn’t a great track record. Koeman after one good season at Southampton. Though he’d been awful at a couple of previous jobs. And Silva after a good half a season at Watford. And now a guys who’s finished 7th twice and is a free agent.

Attacking football? We aren’t Man City or Barcelona and don’t have the players to play attractive football above everything else. Sometimes to become a better side you first need an identity, shape and system before adding things.
lol we were man city back when City were mid-table ravagers. and if we want to develop a clear identity and ethos its best to get a manager with a more progressive way of playing instead of a guy whos Wolves team might have been the only side more of a chore to watch than us

I really don't care about style as long as it is aggressive and with full commitment. Winning football matches is what we need to get better at. The rest is neither here nor there.

Scoring goals wins you football matches. I want to see a team with a good balance, that can defend but is also capable of attacking. As it stands we are not capable of attacking.
