It's not a matter of dropping anyone. Obviously our first choice midfield should be Osman & Fellaini with either two strikers in front of them or Cahill and a lone striker.

But last year due to injuries and suspencions we played Rodwell there, we played Arteta there, we played Nevile there and we played Heitinga there. People are just saying that Bily should be ahead of some of those in the pecking order.

Same here. I will never ever understand why Moyes went with that against West Brom and then brought in all the attacking players for the 'easier' games against City and Chelsea where apparantly defending was less important.

He's just nuts sometimes.

I don't think we can afford N'Zogbia. Only chance of buying him will be there if we sell one of Baines, Fellaini, Jagielka or Rodwell; as we can buy then a player to replace a player we would sell and and then maybe buy a player like N'Zogbia. And I don't really think Moyes will sell anyone of them this summer.. And we would need to do it really fast, because teams like Villa won't waiting..

If we manage to sign the Zog and keep vital players (Cahill, Arteta, Baines, Fellaini, Saha, Coleman and Jagielka) I feel we'll have a real shot next season of the top four. When Piennar played you could see a bit more happening on the left, but when he left it was up to Baines to step in as Bilyaletdinov flounderd. He did very good but can he pull it off for another 38 games? Probably not.

I think we need to mix and match between 4-4-1-1 and 4-4-2. I'd like us to try something even more adventurous, but I really can't see it. The way it's looking Bily would be in direct competition with Cahill for a start. There's no reason why we couldn't do it the old fashion way and let them duke it out with form and fitness. The players do keep saying that they want to be pushed for their place. If Baxter keeps on going the way he has been doing, he'll be another contender for that position too.

In terms of cover, Cahill can't work in a midfield 4 and neither Beckford or Saha work with a midfield 5. We need a new striker who can play with either Beckford or Cahill (Saha can do the former but he won't play 38 games a year) and decide which one we go with and put the other on the bench for an impact player. Gueye can cover for Arteta on the left. And Bily and Rodwell can cover for Osman and Fellaini. Neither Heitinga and Neville should ever be played there again. Play them in defense or leave them on the bench. And we have to buy or loan someone who can cover leftback (and ideally centreback too) in case anything happens to Baines, he played every minute of every league game last year.
