To be fair a top class through ball is a top class through ball. The air doesn't get thicker against better teams.

Which is why Arteta's corners baffled me. Getting the ball into the box should be just as easy against barca as it is against Bury and yet after a year of never beating the first man they were class.

But I disagree with you, good through balls require time on the ball to think and space to aim for.

But the opposition are better positionally, give less space and less time on the ball.

True, I suppose. This is why I want to see him play in the center for a spell at prem level. To see if he can adjust there.

The point I was making though is that his through balls weren't a product of crap opposition or luck. He's a talented guy and can pull off that kind of pass. He wouldn't get the same time of course in the prem (although the through ball against Bury I'm thinking of was from his own half) but he does have the talent to do that. I don't think it's wrong to want to see if he can use that talent in the center in the prem.

Need I mention what shifting Osman centrally did for him?

I would love for him to prove me wrong in the centre but I just cant see it mate, plus I do believe he will be gone if a Ruski comes in for him this summer.

Everybody knew Osman was better in the middle but we couldn't afford to not play Arteta and Cahill there at the time (and that was arguably Moyes best team). Since the Arteta/Fellaini partnership turned out not to work, Ossie got his chance and he took it with both hands. Bily's unfortunate that he's behind so many people in the pecking order there and we have nobody who's any good on the wing.

Mind you, when Moyes decides to play two defenders as the central midfield pair rather than risk bringing Bily into the middle, I want to punch someone.

People seem to think that I think Bily is going to be world class in the center or something.

I honestly have no idea how he'd do there. I just want to find out, because he has talent and I've seen him played enough times out wide to know he's not going to show it there.

Would absolutely love to see Billy, Arteta and NZogbia switching positions throughout a game, with Fellaini and Rodwell anchoring...

But Yobo and Yak have to be sold first.

I think we'd just need to match or get near Villa's wage offer to sway him. Just compare the the 2 squads, the 2 managers...

He was Boss the other night . Loads of Cool-Arse through Balls .

FACT .

He really was!! He's always had that instinctive eye for a ball, however he does seem lethargic at times and you need an engine to play in a premiership midfield. I'd love him 2 succeed (especially in the middle) and I think he will if Moyes can put a rocket in his a**e.
