Went to see them in Paris in 97, got there by coach. By the time we arrived in Paris (pre mobiles) found out they had cancelled the concert due to an air traffic control strike. Never got to see them after that.

It was a French truck driver strike that blocked their gear from getting to Paris. I went by coach too, got refunded for the whole trip (2 night stay in Paris) and got tickets to see them at Wembley arena in December.

If I recall correctly the ferry back across the channel was not pleasant at all. The interior was just a wall to wall Jackson Pollock of spew.

Don't think so Joey. Liam did well out of the gigs he has done this year and Noel gets royalties all over the shop.

Even if they didn't plan to go through with the concerts it would still be worth them setting it up and then cream the interest from all the ticket money over the next year before refunding it.

Only song I ever liked was the one that ended to Royal family tbf they never charged any royalties on it..

Hated them in the 90s, less so now. There music has aged ok but I still wouldn’t choose to listen to it. And Liam seems less of a [Poor language removed] these days.

Saw them at a free Heineken festival in Avenham park Preston in ‘94. Pretty forgettable.

Liked them well enough back in the day but can't say I ever go back and listen to the albums. Heard them all way too many times and too much of it is bang average. The Importance of Being Idle still stands up though.

Would be comfortably one of the worst gig crowds to be in full of beaked up lairy aggression and pints full of piss flying. Gig prices are shamefully extortionate as well so it's a hard NO.
