Old Everton Pictures

He was in the fanzone chatting on Saturday allez, great fella and Evertonian is big mick,!!
Haha, shame I missed him! Used to see him regularly at Mass when I was a kid. He always acknowledged any fan that said hello. My son was in Perth for six months a couple of years ago and I was hoping he would have a trial for Lyons' side while he was there but the distances for training etc. we're just too much. Everton through and through!!

Yes. In those days we were feeling like we'd missed an opportunity to win the league. Which we did. 4th place was nowhere at that time.
We did miss numerous opportunities in the 70's.After the great league winning side broke up and Bally and Kendall and Harvey left it was desperate for a time but when we signed Latchford the next 6 years could have yielded so much more with a little bit of God's will, not to be.The managers did ok.The devils incarnate Clive Thomas and coinciding with the Rs having the best period in their history put paid to that.Howard put a lot of it right thank god.Saw Latch score against them for Birmingham 2-1 went with a load of my RS mates on a big terrace at St.Andrews BFC were on the other half.Joined them early in the game got over the barrier great result.Keep right on to the end of the road was sung all the way back home.Sorry to have to ask this but did Latch ever score for us against them.I don't think he did.

No. Don't recall him scoring against them for us. He missed a sitter at Anfield. Clean through. Tried to lob Clemence but under hit it, straight into his awaiting hands!! He never played in the semi final at Maine Road. Huge blow that. Jim Pearson stepped in.
Think Latch scored for Brum at Anfield though (in a 4-3 defeat).

Remember it weii Stu he would have buried it at Goodison with his eyes shut.Scored lots of of important goals for us in big matches not as good as Big Joey but was a great finisher in the box.
