Old Everton Pictures

Great pic Joey first real stake in my heart from the RS.Great finish from Bally.Saw the Kendall winner in 68 I think and had seen the 67 cup win on the screens in the Kop me arl feller was at Goodison.
They are with no doubt our bogey team - in the Kop made up 2-0 up 15 mins to go outplaying them their fans peed off - they won 3-2 - always been the same as blues fans men and women physically tears in their eyes as I left the kop they were walking up from the anfield road end in those days we filled!
My late father alway stated the L in liverpool stood for LUCKY- its bore out to be true as he died young an absolute fanatical Blue!

I was in the Anfield Road end for that one a real killer that game.
Why even when we are better than them and outplay them we still manage to lose to them?

Only went there once never made it my older brothers brake pipes burst on the east Lancs missed a 0-0 game - went to maine road though!
First trip was the Leeds semi in 1968! Downhill since though and never seen us win there after that!!! First league game I saw was season opener in 68/69, conceded late winner by Best.

Went to Maine Road 69 big Joe 1-1 great start to a great season kept us unbeaten. They were a top side in those years .Next visit was the milk cup replay we never performed that night, but we should have won it at Wembley went with a load of RS mates to both.

Best guess - the August 1969 mid-week game at Old Trafford. If so, we won 2-0 (Ball and Hurst).
I can remember my late father and older brother coming home from that 2-0 win - Hurst's goal was a peach playing a one two then slotting it home - we will win the league this season they said how true, I seen most games from then on in as I was a school boy - thats why i missed the night game doh!
