1960-1961

Division 1

24 September 1960

Everton 4-1 West Ham United

(Lill, Ring, Vernon 2)

BBC, B&W, 35 seconds

Two good wingers in Mickey Lill, and Tommy Ring there;)
My late eldest brother rated Ring. From what he used to tell me (usually after a few bevvies!!) Evertonians had a whole buffet of class players to choose from then. Strangely though he rated him, Young wasnt mentioned as much as Dennis Stevens, Parker and his favourite, Roy Vernon. Class.. I only wished Id had the chance to see them play.
