Old Everton Pictures

Oh Joey stop it. I was having quite a nice day before this..
A horrible day as was man city semi, the rs semis at old trafford and maine road, the villa final replay at old trafford and the west ham semi replay at elland road.
But the joys of Leeds semi at old trafford, villa semi 2nd leg, luton and sheff wed semis at villa park, Southampton semi at Highbury and Man U semi at Wembley....
It could be worse could have posted that game on the classic matches thread:)
It was a horror show....

Nottingham Forest 3, Everton 2; 1966-67 F.A Cup 6th Round - oh the bad memories -

It was a fantastic match, everything you'd want from a cup-tie between two good teams. Not for the last time, alas, we were undone by a combination of an inspired individual performance & uncertain goalkeeping.

Remember I think! we were the only team winning at half time in those 6th Rd games but we had loads of injury problems
Don't think Bally was playing either or Big Joe.

Big joe was not playing Sandy Brown no 10- Jimmy Husband scored two but missed an easy header that Joe would have buried.....to put us 2-0 up just after half time .... what was to come with his headers in the WBA final...
here it is for @degsy - I could only bear to watch when we equalised at 2-2 - what a pair on the left ray Wilson and Moggsy really were.... loads of blues fans there.....

That looks like bellfield in the back ground didn't know we trained there that early .Or anyone know if we did train there in the1950s .And just out of interest anyone know we're we trained before bellfield

Yes it is Bellefield. Again we were ahead of everyone else by developing state of the art training facilities. It opened after the War in 1946. Brazil used Bellefield as their base in 1966.

Before then I presume it was Goodison based on earlier training photos. Joey may know more.
