Old Everton Pictures

Love these old photos joey what part of goodison is that mate just that I never got to see the old ground
As a guess the corner old the left hand side of the then players entrance at the Stanley park end - some use to enter in that way to avoid the crowd on Goodison road.. I remember my older brother mate shout to my hero Joe -V leeds in that famous 3-2 win put some in the onion bag Joe he smiled and obliged bagged two that day they were on a tremendous unbeaten run...... we ended it as champions elect ......

Artist impression of the magical Duncan Mackenzie -

Best crosser of a ball on the run I've seen Dave Thomas,Ronny Goodlass wasn't bad either, often wondered why we didn't keep Ronny and play the two of them,Latch may have got near Dixies record with the crosses flying in!!

Do you know I went to the ground tour years ago when it was empty and all seater, a great day, tears in my eyes , but the damper on it was the seating - I thought back to all eras I had stood on the terraces it was magical the standing areas, the atmosphere the chanting started at least an hour before kick off - the Gladys street was full of banners pur magic the Grand old Lady rocked in those days in the 1960,s 1970s era...... The walls at the front were so high to stop fans getting on the pitch, kids to crates boxes just to see over the wall magical...... I sat on a barrier with my late father holding me - no one want to sit in then the Grandstands up top - it was very affordable too.......15p to get in........ or cheaper as each end had different prices 2&1/2 p in the boys pen.......

Wife,s been to a car boot early this am come back with six of 1960,s football magazines but they have been in the wet and stink a bit - here's the first of the photos - cost her £1.00... 1968
