That house, at the opposite end of the main stand to the church, had a drainpipe that me and my brother climbed up to escape the mass off people who rushed the ticket office for semi-final tickets v RS at Maine Road. The area at the back of the other stand was a training area then and we went through there onto Walton Lane to get the tram home. (1951) Thanks Joey, happy memories.
 

To think of it Tommy did wear turbo 10 shirt for some games maybe Bursty was injured or dropped?
He did Joey, played in central defence for a handful of games but it was abandoned after a couple of OGs against you know who and Man City at home - I seem to remember they were both in the first minute of the games! Peter Scott would have been at right-back.
