I think that's around the time Ratters was playing left back for us, now I have seen some bad ones in my time but Ratters has to be the worst!!Remarkable how he turned it around when he moved into central defence, what a player!!
Cant believe that patch of land behind the International pub in Seaforth used to be a stadium. Used to play footy with a lad who lived by there and it was full of shopping trolleys and permanent bonfires.
I seen him at left back in a inter cities game he got sent off - Barton at right back had a great game for us , but we still got beat with only having 10 men.....

He was indeed a disaster at LB. But even then his normal playing position, in the ressies, was as a CB. When he came in at LB you could see in his game that he was still thinking he was a CB. He was forever coming into the centre to help out the CBs, leaving his winger unmarked!
