Invariably I always stood with a barrier behind me to the right of the goal and mid way up! Until I retired to the stand when i got a bit older.

Yes it has so sad to see Bally in the wrong shirt and Howard showing his appreciation of him! So sad to see Colin Harvey in the stands on Sat weeping - what a trio they really were - Bally was today's Messi different type of player but so skillful as the other in the trio were!
Bally was the best ever box to box midfielder I have ever seen!

He truly was World Class and Hc stole him from his former club!!!!

Doug has been on about Goal keepers for the blues - two expensive ones who I thought were very poor buys were Jim McDonagh, and David Lawson edging to be the worst at a 1/4 of a million pond was this guy who looked so small between the post -

Lasted one season - he became a goal keeping coach, so maybe passed a bit on to a young Nev -he just never had the height imo!
