The look on his face. He did that back heel in the hope it would not go in imo. Absolutely disconsolate as he went back to the half way line. Happy to see Man Utd go down( we had put second to last nail in coffin at Goodison the week before) but gutted for poor Law.

Yes, Rankin was the hero and saved the penalty that won it for us. Mind you, I think he dived five minutes before the taker
kicked the ball. Well, you know what I mean.

...Charlton as well. I remember watching that trio at Goodison and thinking they were special footballers and I would recall with pleasure that I saw them. I wasn't wrong but we had fantastic players too and often beat them. Glory days.

Great trick hard winger who served us for ten years, is he abroad or something never bothers with our club di they have a spat or something over his son?

The great Dave Hickson if they are blue and white socks - I am sure they were the first Everton pair I ever had as a young kid around 1960!

Before my time anyone heard of this blues player?
some info on him -
Full-back Eric Moore spent eight seasons with Everton after signing his first professional contract in 1949.

He made his debut for the Club against Middlesbrough in December 1949, helping the Blues to a 3-1 win.

The Haydock-born defender was part of the promotion-winning side in 1953/54 as Everton returned to the top-flight after a three-year absence.

In total, Moore made 184 appearances without scoring for Everton, before leaving the Club in 1957. He would later join Tranmere Rovers.
