We beat Ipswich at home in the cup in Jan 69 2-1 and in the league 3-0 in Jan 70.
Im just wondering whether the pic might have been from the cup game as sometimes both teams used to play in their away kits if home kits were the same in the f a cup in those days? Eg when we played Colchester in the quarter final at home in 70. We played in amber and they played in red in that game

Was that because they chose to play at our ground as it was allowed then for the gate money v Colchester ?
so we let them use their home kit and we played in our away kit?

Thats a good shout in the 1960's we used our away kit in the FA Cup ....

Looking at the advertising mate it looks like goodison park.

My Bad...it is Goodison. At least this gives me a chance to amend the entry in my photo collection. The date is correct however.
