Old Everton Pictures

From the days when immediately the ref pointed to the centre circle you could start celebrating............

Wasn't that the opening game of the season. HK had brought Johnson and Andy King back. Lost 2-0? The picture is of a goal that never was.

Not trying to be funny Degsy but I think that picture is from before that time, to be honest. Heres the YouTube off Granada with Sinstadt's commentary.
See the adverts behind the goals and Bally's white boots. I idolised him, God rest his Soul

Tear in my eye watching that. Trivial thing, I was waiting for the yellow card to come out when that player was booked!

Here's my shout on this.
We beat WBA 5-4 with Ball scoring from a penalty at the Street End. I reckon it's that.

How times fly I was a full on skinheads boots and braces heading heading up to that semi on the coach from the pub on the corner of Delemore St.
Coach driver took a detour and we ended up stuck with all the West Ham fans on the motorway, they were a welcoming bunch , never seen so many throat cutting gestures in my life.
We had to go around the ground , from thier end, all punching the windows ect,
Are driver was bottling it, and when we got outside a pub with loads of them shouting the odds , said close the curtain's or I am not going on.
I said dont bother we are getting off , I had had enough of them by that time,he thought we were full of bravado and opened the door expecting nobody to get off, we were off the bus in seconds, West ham fans scattered everywhere and locked the doors of the pub before we had gone 5 yards, even the coppers were laughing at them when they herded us back on the bus , not a punch had been thrown the entire time

We had got there early having driven down and parked in an industrial estate which meant we had to go past the Holte end of the ground. We were still one ticket short but there was nobody around to sell us one. We got a taxi into the city centre and were just about to be dropped off near New Street when a procession of Hammers fans in full bovver boy rig came running around the corner. We jumped right back into the taxi and the driver overheard us saying we were still short of the ticket. He drove us to a pub by the old HP factory and a guy in there had a good handful and we got our ticket for a fiver.
We were in the Witton End and above us was Freddie Starr entertaining the troops below.

Remember that game afterwards! We were sat in traffic trying to get back to the motorway and there was a white van parked up at the side of the road! Gang of WH hoolies come wandering down the road and spotted three Everton lads in the front of the fan - next thing abuse starts, banging on the side windows and the windscreen etc, they then start rocking the van!
Suddenly back doors of the van burst open and about twenty Everton fans come piping out of the back - WH lit scatter in all directions never to be seen again, the Everton lads all come back laughing there heads off jump in the back of the van again and shut the doors!
We were still laughing about it an hour later! Good days!
