The 1970 Mexico World Cup Squad - note we were champions that year - Westy pulled out as his wife threatened him with a divorce if he went - he later stated he may as well gone as she divorced him 3 years later anyway - He would have performed better than Peter Bonetti......

Remember that game afterwards! We were sat in traffic trying to get back to the motorway and there was a white van parked up at the side of the road! Gang of WH hoolies come wandering down the road and spotted three Everton lads in the front of the fan - next thing abuse starts, banging on the side windows and the windscreen etc, they then start rocking the van!
Suddenly back doors of the van burst open and about twenty Everton fans come piping out of the back - WH lit scatter in all directions never to be seen again, the Everton lads all come back laughing there heads off jump in the back of the van again and shut the doors!
We were still laughing about it an hour later! Good days!
