I was in the Park End stand that day. We were 2-0 up, lost 3-2. We also lost the return game at Easter 3-0 that finished our season.

Luton away who went down too Bally,we lost 2-1 there near the end of the season, we were one up as well I'm sure.

The day my older brother , and his mate with a beard got tickets after going on spec at Carlisle - fans climbing up trees to see the game 5 to three - how the hell did you get them asked my older brother 3 hours of searching for tickets - they looked at them BOYS PEN lol
To their surprise the guy at the gate let them in also doubly lucky it was not a boy's pen as such like ours in those days - you could go anywhere on that particular terrace on that day....

He was mate,I remember it well as my old man went to that game,he would always bring me a programme back,in fact I remember having a Carlisle Utd programme too from that season he brought me back from Cumbria, thinking on I think I will just blame our whole spectacular capitulation that season on my old fella lol lol lol
