Searching through my car book finds last night as @T LEAFE and I pmd for some new material of photos to post - i came across this football paperback hand book for the the 1968/69 season by Park Drive cigarettes not PC now but then even some players were allowed to smoke these things .....looking through the book nothing changes photos mainly dominated by the red lot , and then Manchester United, but there were a few from our team who at that time were playing scintillating football........

Been going through all my old football stuff and found a copy of this as well. No more than 10 pictures on Everton (two articles though). The RS have a few more (and one article). But,as you say, predominantly a Man Utd book. A fair few of Man City, not unexpectedly since the late 60s was more of their more successful periods until recent years.

Everything went wrong on this day for me and many blue fans -
Hold up on the M6 south around Birmingham arrived 10 minutes late.....
EFC fans hooligans had kicked the exit doors open at the back of the Holt end ,,, causing crushing.......
Malcolm Allison decided tactically to Man Mark Bally........
HK Kendall was never 1000% fit had to go off......
Awful boring game .......
0-0 looked on the cards .......
then that so & so got a lucky rebound to fire home in the lat five minutes, sat watch his crappy TV opposite - Colin Harvey trying his best here playing a team with a very nice Manager with a crappy kit.......

sad face eggs as a 15 year old I was in tears crushed in the holt end at the very back - My brother still had his tickets intact - we panicked being late and just went in the first opening next to instead of looking for our turnstyle number - that could have been another Hillsborough imo fans fainting, I remember one guy in a nice suit fans surged forwards he was in a horizontal isle look for a spec when sick came from above all over him ... it was a horrid occasion for us hardly seen the game tbh then heading to the coach a massive roar - coach driver shouted cities just scored = sob......

1966 better time also he who laughs last on this momentous occasion - though a good turnout by Sheffield Wednesday fans left of the Photo - Jim Mccalliog was on four in a bed two years ago what a miserable barstwerd he was on that show..... boasting about his success in football forgot 1966 - hey Jim -
