I’m speaking with Tommy on Monday

....I honestly forgot he signed for Everton. Smashing lad.

I‘m sure I’ve got a cutting with a photo of Tommy and me from a German newspaper. It shows us arriving in Cologne for a game, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t remember that trip as it can’t have been long before he joined the Toffees. I’ve got a few things from that time.

Cracking photo: Can only assume that's the church top left, and a poor Gwladys Street End to what we have now. The players are immaculately
dressed, are they new shoes or were they all ex-Servicemen!

Looked more like a heavily-sedated Fred West on day release...he was shocking for us. No idea why.

Maybe he didn't have his minder Terry Hennessey to win the ball for him and make him look good.
Played most of his games at full back...not much of a recommendation for his midfield prowess
Along with Bernard and a few years previous to some extent Ernie Hunt, good players in the right team...just not ours
Their main collective fault was (like Collins Vs Stevens) is they weren't Kendall Ball or Harvey

I only other thing I can think of is Harry had a habit of buying players that stuck in his mind of having a good game against us....Bernie Wright?

Like Spurs selling Elvis and buying the Beatles
We sold Alan Ball and bought mike and bernie 'kin winters.

Did Bernie Wright have a good game against us watched the footage of the home game he looked awful then before we signed him...?

Berni Wright I am sure he has the same number of goals as Tuson .... what a pair of oafs they would be upfront for us now.... the comedy he fetched with a kit that did not fit him......
