Can't remember playing them in the inter city fairs cup which I believe was the forerunner of the UEFA cup. Remember Fitzpatrick. But think loads of teams had a tough right back. Smith RS, us sandy brown, chelsea chopper Harris, leeds reaney think they would have been sent off every game nowadays.We missed Europe a few times in the 60s and 70s due to UEFA only allowing one team from a city into the competition. Fred Pickering scored our only goal we were poor in Europe .....The Fairs Cup Tie at Old Trafford was my first trip to an "away" European tie, not exactly a long way and I certainly did not need my passport
