Did anyone else have an electronic scoreboard in 1972 ? It was cutting-edge at the time?
Mind you it used F*** up a lot at the time but they had there work cut out that day.
I packed In my first job shortly after that as I was working in a shoe shop on Bold St and when I finished work I picked up a football echo on the way home and read the score .
Never worked a Saturday afternoon again

I remember the electric scoreboard being hit by a volley (think it was Kevin Richardson) and the whole thing went into spasms. Everyone laughing and the crowd singing "hooly hooly hooly hooligan":celebrate:

I know this thread is all about the pictures, but I wondered if anybody knows the story behind Ronny's hand?
I had always been under the impression that it was some form of birth defect, but according to Wikipedia, and some other sources (although they may just be copying from Wiki) he lost his hand as a result of an accident with a power tool?????
 
Southampton had a couple of good seasons a few years ago and because they finished above us, there was 2 Saints lads that used to take the mick outta me.
I would say what have you ever won...
