I walked into Ron Yeats , literally, in Lime St. station back in the early 70’s. He was an absolute giant of a man, I am no pigmy, but, I felt like a schoolboy looking up at him.

He was a stopper, no slower on the turn than our two centre backs last night though - an inspired signing by Shankly, but Labby was our opposite he moved like a perfect well oiled machine - hence our name of yard dog Yeats ......
