I posted the team out of my EFC Bible - Kenyon no - 8 Jackson no 4 -Alex Young came on as sub for Sandy Brown.........we were down to the bare bones in that game with injuries, and a suspension of Alan Ball......no John Hurst ....In one of the two programmes that I own from that semi final , team changes are written in.
Roger Kenyon and Tommy Jackson are not down to play.
My old grandad neatly wrote the changes. I trust his judgement from those 52 years back. He wrote Tommy Jackson playing at no4 in place of Howard Kendall. He wrote Roger Kenyon playing at no 8 in place of Jimmy Husband.
He wrote Howard Kendall at no 10 in place of John Hurst. And finally he wrote Jimmy Husband at no 7 in place of the GV......
A lot of chopping and changing ........i.know. But that's the changes written into one of the two programmes that I own from that match. The other programme has no changes noted.
So on that basis alone.........our no 8 that day was Roger Kenyon.
That is unless me old grandad got everything all wrong........which he didn't normally do. So after phoning a friend and asking the audience........I'm sticking with Roger Kenyon......
Naw.......don't be sorry. That's what makes the world go round ( or this lockdown ) bearable. A little football poser........if nothing else it's made me start looking through all my old football memorabilia. I've come across stuff i 'd forgotten I actually had...........and i 'm reading up now on Roger Kenyon.....great stuff..@TangerineToffee - in my bible the final team sheet for that photo -FA Cup semi-final Old Trafford
1- West 2- Wright 3 - Wilson -10 Kendall - 5 Labby -6 - Harvey -12 Alex Young {Sub} 9 - Royle - 11- Moggsy 7- Sandy Brown {substituted by A Young} 8 -Kenyon - 4 T Jackson .......
End of imo
I'm sorry I ever posted the photo lol

Go on my son.......we had a very good team for those few years that this guy was with us......a very good player. Imagine him feeding in crosses to Richarlson and DCL nowadays.....

Still had a decent backbone to the team.....and the supposed weak links Tommy Jackson and a young Roger Kenyon were not as weak as people think. Jackson wasn't that bad a stand in. Although of course he was no Alan Ball......But who was.
