Spot on......two 0-0 draws. Then finally managed to beat them. Two goals from Sheedy.......one from Heath. Remember taking stick at work for Everton not burying Gillingham. You know.....banter.
But the good times were just around the corner.

Gray scored a few goals like that. Think I remember him scoring one similar against Notts County. Very good buy for Everton. And one hell of a brave player...........great stuff.

The Tangerines had Harry Thompson, a goalie who was a cousin of Alex Young. Didn't know George was too.

I think that's the game Gerry Humphreys scored an absolutely cracker, striking the ball across the keeper from the very corner of the area. One of the best goals I've ever seen
