They really were fantastic games, It was like the very best in European games everytime we played each other
both teams gave it everything, home or away, all out attacking. They even had Law, Best & Charlton right
through the 60s, and we had a marvellous 'Spine' in West, Labone & God! It was sensational football.

Great mullet........But not that great a player for us. Saw him play a few times in the early 1980s. Not great. But the team wasn't great.
But then.......Boom......out with guys like Alan Biley.
And in with Peter Reid .....Trevor Steven and Andy Gray.....and others. Great days.......great football.......great stuff.

some strange results in those almost back to back fixtures. Think I read somewhere about Everton beating some team 5-0 . And losing to the same team 4-0 a couple of days later. Some time in the mid 1960s. Must check who it was against. Some really strange reversals in results with those back to back fixtures.
