The troubles had well and truly kicked off by this time. No home matches allowed for N.Ireland. Think that the first team to come to Windsor Park (for a number of years) was Yugoslavia. About 1976. But still far to dangerous for england to travel.
I had forgotten that N.Ireland had played a match at Goodison Park......
Wonder if George Best played in this match. Or was he maybe on one of his binges.....

6-2 I think and of course Westy's infamous run in with the Street and subsequent V sign. Which had nothing to do with winning lol
No it didn't
The team was stuttering and Westy was having a total mare of a game shouting at the crowd, confidence gone, flapping at crosses, blaming the defence.
Harry put Rankin back in for the next game Vs Blackpool, played 23 games
iirc, Rankin took a knock and Gordon was back for 5 games
Rankin played the next 3 - took another knock?
Dia Davies came in for the next 2 - Westy was nowhere
Then Rankin came back till the end of the season.

23rd November 1968; Everton duo Ray Wilson and Joe Royle recognising the attacking threat of Jack Charlton, at Elland Road - I was in the away shed end to see Joe score the finest diving header ever to equalise we got beat 2-1 - over the Pennines on the way home in thick fog - just in time for it on MOTD

I am pretty sure that from is the FA cup semi final earlier in the year, April, mate. I don’t think Elland Rd had a stand like that in 1968 and Charlton is wearing red socks.:)
