Never knew what I thought of Darracott. Was he good..... or bad..... or indifferent.
Still don't know what to think.......
.I've seen him play a few times. Some matches he was ok. Some matches he was like a headless chicken. He'd fit in well with today's team.........
It's just a joke I have with @Dario Terracotta he was a good player who became a good coach for us in the 1980 winning teams..... :D

no elf and safety back then. Crazy........one slip and he's in bother.

I know that you guys are only joking.
I liked Darracott. He was ok.
Saw him play against Finn Harps . And he was the last player to leave the pitch. Signed autographs and had photos taken with all us Irish Blues. Donated his jersey to a local charity. I was an apprentice welder back then. Went home early to be ready to go to that match. Everton won 5-0.
Darracott was great with the crowd. Latchford....King and Dobson were the stand out players. But we all remember Darracott. He.came across (that night anyway) as a character.

Bally scoring in a 5-2 rout v Chelsea in our title run in at home in irony of a 58,000 + crowd - proud to be there! Notice all the Holy trinity players involved in the attack

I think Chelsea wore yellow in that 5-2 game mate and 28th March 3 pm would not have needed floodlights.
;)
we were electric that day! Ripped them to shreds, champions elect that day, champions officially the following Wednesday after beating WBA!!

Our own Max Wall;)lol

Blimey, mate, what a first match!!! I think we missed 20 chances that night AND had in form Jimmy Husband crocked early on!! AND Shankly made such a fuss of welcoming Panathanaikos to train at Lpool iirc. The €$%*$$¥!!!
Can’t recall the actual game mate, just the excitement being a five year old kid!!ive seen the footage since and home and away it was just one of those typical Everton ties allez,we should have buried them, the penalty we didn’t get at their place for the assault on whittle almost makes Thomas/Collina look fairminded refslol

He played ok for Arsenal and then Southampton.
Apart from a little blip playing for us his form came good again.
Still say that Catterick got rid of Ball far to soon.........Catterick saying that he wasn't the same player IMO was just an excuse for us supporters and a load of nonsense.
Alan Ball imo was still better than some of the rubbish that Catterick and co brought in to replace him.......
He did indeed play well at his other clubs, but he was playing a different role and a different style. He was given far less freedom at Arsenal and played a more disciplined, link man role. Bally himself used to say that his game had matured after leaving Everton. To me it was more a case of him having been burnt out in Mexico so having to adapt his game.
