Wouldn't agree with that. We were cruising for over an hour. Then, under no pressure, Gary Stevens gave the ball away and 5 seconds later it was in our net. Sure, thereafter we were out of it.

But the match lasts 90+ minutes. It doesn't really matter how we played for the first 60. Unless of course we were 4 goals up. And we would have needed 4 to have beaten Liverpool that day. I don't agree that we were cruising. Teams cruising (as you say) don't end up getting beat 3-1. My memories of that day is that we never looked like winning that match. Disappointing result......

That's a great photo.......always liked that photo. It's one of my collection that I have framed. The wife and wains shared a house with me and my Everton memorabilia........Great photo....... Great stuff....

What a great centre back pairing the two in amber really were! The 1970 league winning team let in only 38 goals that season compared to 42 in 1963.......

He stated the Catt never. bothered with him as soon as his knee injury was permanent, I thought he was honest over that knee injury, but he knew how ruthless the Catt was ....

Stayed there when my daughter went to Edinburgh University 11 years ago ....... loves Edinburgh twinned with Hearts as a council ......she is doing well up there loves the place for me to hilly & too cold - The GV did the best thing to play his football with us

Including rangers, raith rovers ,airdrie and hearts obviously.
Had the gruesome 'murder hill' mainly pre season blasting out the cobwebs.
