I'm a jinx. A total jinx when it comes to Everton v Liverpool. I admit to being a tad negative about this fixture..... Have been to 12 or so league derbys through the 1980s. Never seen us beat them. Been to two cup finals against Liverpool. Beat both times.Yeh, cruising was a bit of an exaggeration. But, the opposite to you, at HT at least I couldn't see us losing it
Missed a few derbys due to work. And guess what..........we beat them.
I'm apprehensive when it comes to playing Liverpool. I don't relax until we are about three up. And that just doesn't happen often.
I'm cautious when it comes to playing them. Take nothing for granted.
Haven't been to any derbys since I got married. Eased off from going to matches. And in recent years I've called it a day since arthritis kicked in. (Getting older).
But it's time that we did beat them. It's now long overdue and getting bloody galling that we can't beat them..........Up The Toffees.......

Just wondering how our modern day footballers would perform on pitches like that. The pitches back then were mainly awful. Did teams not employ groundsmen. Just wondering why pitches back then were like no mans land .

That's what I mean........I just don't relax when we play them.
Usually just take the dog for a walk nowadays when we play them......then the wife gives me the inevitable result when we return.. Then I just move on to our next match. I'm ok with the other teams that we play. It's just them.......aarrggh..
