54 years ago, Everton's new record signing Alan Ball made his debut + scored in a 1-0 away win at Fulham. It was the start of a life long love affair.

That's ruddy captions for you I scanned that photo out of one of my many EFC book collection.....well spotted after the fuss over the fog photo I posted yesterday, it does create great discussion on here though lol

After 1958 because I think the floodlights went up that year. Before 1963 because that was when I attended my first game, when the houses on the streets on the left had been knocked down. We parked the car down those streets which is where I first met the "mind your car mister" mafia.

I remember the car minders 10 Bob mister to mind your car or vandalism might occur lol they must have made a fortune as they were never about after the game

Buy a hi viz from poundland.
Any waste ground near goodison or school yard ,charge a fiver.
Westminster road school or whatever its called now is a perfect example.

Yes we was .
For the tight gits who had no change before the game.
And letting down tyres is hardly vandalism, or so I've been told

Two bob was the most any of them got. I'm sure we paid on our return though. There was one time the lids got their money as we parked up and we're there again when we went back to the car. Pointing out we'd already paid them, turned out they'd been "relieved" of their take by some bigger kids.
