Old Everton Pictures

I did, I spent all July going round Holland Belgium Luxemburg telling anybody who would listen it was nailed on, we were going to piss the league.
Even after Dundee went ahead after10 mins, we laughed...Everton That...but no worries.
We got ourselves sorted, went up through the gears and seen them off.
I can remember commentator Kenneth Wilsonholme giving his review of the season that year - he stated for pure football he was certain Everton FC would come very close to lifting the title that year...... spot on I had the pleasure of seeing that football home plus many away games -

Jimmy Harris 89 this week -he was a good swash bucking goal scoring centre Forward for us in the 1950's - famous for his hat trick in the 10-4 defeat away at Spurs -

I remember my Grandad taking me to a home game probably about 1968 and getting Kenneth Wilsonholme's autograph as he was climbing to the gantry in the old Goodison Road stand, I was almost as excited seeing him as I was being at the match.

Pure nostalgia there.
There was just something in the air that summer into Autumn.
I think we'd got off to a flier in the league and played Palace at home but were hit and miss until Moggsy put a cross into the box for Joey but it was too far in front of Royle who visibly slowed down but then watched the ball float over the keeper into the net. It was then I began to dream!
