Be surpriing if some within the club weren't racist given how it was all through society. Certainly there were widespread allegations about Gordon Lee - fair or unfair, I don't know.

I do know that very many of the fans were. I had to stop going in the Street End after Clyde Best got dog's from the fans - only to find that

Trevor Hockey.......Sheffield utd. Just one of his many clubs.......I think.
Ps......just noticed that T.Hockey has been mentioned. It has to be him. Can't remember too many players of that era with beards like that. And if my memory is correct.......Hockey was not that bad a player. Didn't he get capped by Wales.....
