Roy Vernon could have been better than Greaves, & Law if he had not smoked like a chimney....Him and Vernon should have started their own Tobacco company. If Dixie was a smoker then he probably would have scored over a 100 goals in that season without the evil weed . Though the tobacco industry are suggesting that it's because of copious ciggie smoking that got Dean to 60 in the first place lol
Not Alan Ball. It's 1.3.72. Joe Royle's penalty was saved by Jennings and Newton follows up to score. It was played midweek in the time of 3 day week etc and was the one home game of the season that I missed as I could not get time off. Here is a different angle.Bally scores v Spurs - what year?
