Old Everton Pictures

31st August 1974 Bob Latchford scores the first against Arsenal after a header from Mick Buckley had struck the crossbar - partnering Joe Royle which they only partnered up about ten times we won this game 2-0 -
We actually won 2-1 Joey.
Bob got both of our goals. The Arsenal goalscorer was Brian Kidd who had just signed for Arsenal following Man Utd's relegation.
I always remember it because I missed the game due to getting married that day.
I definitely should have gone the match as I got divorced 7 years later lol

*EDIT - Just seen the post about your border collie Joey. Really sorry to hear that news.

Sorry to hear that Joey. Our dog died about a year back. A Staffordshire called Molly. Cancer of all things. She was 16 years old. So I suppose had a good innings..... And was a very big part of the family. We spoke of her as if she was human. A very real part of the family.
Anyhow.......sorry to hear your news. Take care.......
