Thanks for that. He was player managing at Gisborne just up the coast from Napier so yeah that fits. Beautiful part of the world but prone to earthquakes and the like from time to time.

This is when GL won a gallon of scotch for manager of the month. As a non drinker, he asked for it in miniatures and gave them away to fans. Nice gesture.
