He didn't join Wolves from us - he moved to Aston Villa in the summer of 1985, did he not? And when they played at Goodison, he was made captain for the game. He led them out (or so he thought - the second in line stopped the rest of the Villa team and he ran onto the pitch on his own) and was given a standing ovation by the whole ground. An abiding memory!
