EVERTON 1993/94

Ex-City boss Mike Walker’s Toffees preserved Everton’s proud tradition of not being relegated from the top flight since 1954. Walker’s strugglers had to beat Wimbledon’s ‘Crazy Gang’ at Goodison Park on the final day and also rely on results elsewhere. The Dons were 2-0 up early on before former Norwich loanee Graham Stuart dragged one back from the penalty spot. Barry Horne then drew the hosts level and Stuart’s speculative long range shot squirmed past Hans Segers to spark bedlam on the blue half of Merseyside.

Everton hero Graham Stuart is kissed by a fan as he runs from the pitch after the match, after scoring two goals against Wimbledon in his sides victory over Wimbledon. The result prevented Everton from being relegated from the FA Premiership.

How far we slipped in 10 years.

That's from a good book - our old rented ground built by the players, and fans, payed rent as it was a running track to begin with EFC first club in the area of Anfield, till the rent was unfairly hiked up, and the rest is history, IMO unfortunately gave the birth of our devilish rivals!
Why were they not called Anfield FC ?
Nicked our ground, and named after our city, and nicked the Liver bird badge , and nicked YNWA from Celtic FC - they are a load of Nickers!lol
