...the little mascot is great. I suppose he could still be alive. Fine leap by Dixie, you can see the aerial power.

I tried to find this game by looking for a home game on same day as France played away in the 5 Nations as it was then. Could not get the dates to match up though. Guessing our scorer was number 10 John Hurst but looks like opponents got 2!!! Maybe it was another rugby international.
Was it 25/3/72 v Wolves. Ended up 2-2...Bernie Wright there with Howie. France were away v Wales that day. I couldve taken that photo...was in our speck in The Street ! Wish I was that kid again.I tried to find this game by looking for a home game on same day as France played away in the 5 Nations as it was then. Could not get the dates to match up though. Gabriel all day longv Wolves fred pickering temple in the background and who?
Its Brian harris bluelord was right - imo Gabby had a mop of blond hair and Harris played anywhere as a fill in sometimes even fullback!I would go with Jimmy Gabriel. Not 100% but the fair hair colour is a pointer and Jimmy was chunky. Brian Harris was
dark haired. Great pictures. But if BlueLord has looked it up, what do I know?
