players like D Smith no 5 - G Humphries no 11 - F Darcy- no 3 - G Glover - no 6 - it was a reserve side almost we got beat 4-1 Trebblecock our scorer - players like Joe Royle, Jimmy Husband, Moggsy, Sandy Brown, and George Heslop + Rankin above made the first team in the future
the players named first were fringe reserve players who moved on including George Heslop!

Brian Labone was rested that day Joey.. I was there and seen us get beat by them horrible bastards that Leeds were at that time.. for me D.Smith was a stand in though ... also so were other young lads ...great day out going to Leeds ..some great nights we had with the women in the town
