Wasn't that the brown One?Amazing what triggers memories. I knew that was Coventry by that kit. If you can recognise a kit in black and white, it's gotta qualify as iconic!
I thought it was light blue with a darker stripe but my memory is shockingWasn't that the brown One?
Just looked further down the Google page.....there was a light blue one too.Just googled. It was indeed brown. Good call.
Little story.….our @Joey66 largely facilitates this thread with fantastic, mind provoking pics. It’s a terrific collection, enhanced by the likes of @ManxBrian who (I think) has a library of still pictures of Everton goals over the years.
Also given the excellent accounts published by @alan ball, I really think the club are missing a trick not formally referencing it all for their own records.
Your right ,think they had a red one as well at on time. Might be wrongJust looked further down the Google page.....there was a light blue one too.
Bit embarrassing for us, that.Little story.
I inherited a load of 1950s programmes from us and the other lot.
I phoned our club, and offered them a load of programmes, they weren't interested.
No they never had enough, just not interested.
So I got in touch with the other lot ,who ,I hate to say where delighted and polite.
They asked for a list, to complete their club collection.
Anyway, they said its normally donations, I said I'm sorry I'm a blue ,I won't be donating.
Fair play, they offered me a good price.
Ian St John there for Coventry ....
