Nice piece. He became a legend quickly at Everton with the league trophy delivered within a year! Was a big hit at the seaside of course but the money offered at the time was too much for the board at BFC to turn down. And Tony Waiters to slot in so....Not mentioned here but Westy, though from Barnsley, was a Blackpool fan growing up. Leaving the club he supported at such a young age with the price tag on his head was quite tough. But it turned out good for him with a great club career with the Toffees.

That in those days was a record signing, my friend, Westy was a great agile Keeper for his build - how's Ellis Simms doing for you?

Talk in the Gazette today by the BFC CEO Mansford of being interested in him in January if the Toffees want him to go on loan again. That's always been a possibility so papers had a slow week and recycle this. But if you don't give him his head and see what he can do in your first team then yeah I can see him at BR in January 2022.
