Watching that tackle now, it's noticeable that no Everton players were making a big thing of it. It was a man's game in those days. These days players would be surrounding the ref and whining.

Heath's injury was such a shame because he was absolutely on fire that season. He'd already scored about 15 goals by the end of November and had just been named in the England squad. Everyone recognises the impact his replacement, Andy Gray, had that season, but Heath's contribution tends to be forgotten about.

In Sheedy's autobiography book he claimed he was his most favourite intelligent forward to pass the ball too and really rated him as our best forward , and that injury was a very big blow for Inchy!

If he had not been injured, he would have ended up scoring more goals for us than Sharpy, I'm certain of it. He was fantastic to watch.
