If any good soul feels like raising a glass tonight, real or imaginary, for a fellow blue, my wonderful lifelong Everton fan Grandfather passed away today after a long and love-filled 91 years, and Everton had at least a piece of his heart all that time! Born and raised in Liverpool, lived through many decades of the city's glorious history, worked in shipping between Canada Dock and the Liver building, moved out to the 'burbs eventually, and all these years later was still watching his team on the telly in his final weeks (still grumbling too, of course!).
The team, the game, and that beautiful city, was a great part of his, and my family's, life.
