Look at the determination on his face. One of the nicest people I ever met. Absolutely bled for Everton and Rovers until his dying day. I wonder if those old heavy balls contributed to his late life Alzheimer's.

A privilege to have known him as we went to follow Rovers on the 46a bus in the 80s. So many great stories of his time with Everton and as captain of Ireland.
