Old Everton Pictures

Strangely this picture describes how we were under his first job in player management. Fuzzy. Shame that year went badly and ended so ignominiously . Still his World Cup heroics in 1966 as a Tangerine will never be forgotten.

Maybe the new East stand that has just been announced to be built over the next few years will carry his name. It's only right ?
Mate he was never the same as player or manager after he left us. He was my hero as a kid. My mother ironed a no. 8 on my plain round necked RB jersey.

I cried my eyes out when I came home from school to hear he had been sold. I was only 6.

The Trinity was unique, but we were never the same as it was broken up.

Happy birthday to former Toffees striker, David Smallman. He’s 69 today. David had a very promising career impacted heavily by multiple injuries. Dave also played for Wrexham & Bangor City, amongst others -

Happy 63rd birthday to Ross Jack. The former Ross County man made one League appearance for Everton, scoring one goal. He went on to have a good career in lower league football in England and back in his native Scotland. He also had a brief spell loan in southern Ireland, Shamus Coleman club Sligo Rovers-

1966 the Everton fans start to fill our end up - My poor brother was with the Wednesday fans at the tunnel end aged 15 years old on his own - our London family were scattered all over - tickets were like gold dust ... -
