My older brother stated my late father took him to that game as my late father advocated the Catt should sign him as he destroyed us in most games we played Blackburn - he missed two sitters - before hammering a 30 yard volley into the net added two more in a 6-1 win - it never stopped raining that day too -

The 1966 programme - with Mike Trebilcock not in it - Fans sometimes forget Fred Pickering {RIP} was left out of the semi final game at Burden Park V Man United with the same cartilage injury - which he never recovered form at top level sadly as he was a prolific goalscorer for us -
