The story also goes (heard from Howard Kendall) that the players went over to Morrissey and said "for Christ's sake Johnny, we've got another 85 minutes to play here.. they'll kick us off the park".

Howard also told the story about the time we played Spurs almost back-to-back 1967-68 and Alan Ball was subbed on 15 minutes after a vicious foul by Cyril Knowles at WHL. The return game at Goodison began with Colin and Howie extracting revenge on Knowles for the injured and absent Ball with an early doors reminder for Knowles at which point the referee intervened and said something to the effect of "right you've settled that score let's get on with the game"

Labone and Hursty ere always being moaned at by Bally about why they did not dish it out as he and Joe Royle were getting kicked to bits by opponents- Labby used to laugh i off and tell him to just let moggsy know or Sandy Brown as they were too cultured players to do itlol
Labby always stated if Tony kaye had not been banned Bally would have loved him in the side labeling him a great player but the most arrogant hardest player he had seen!

Dario suggested Jimmy Husband. I think he his right. Quite young then in that 1967 photo before he let his hair grow longer in late 60s.
