This image has been chosen for the "Wondrous Place" exhibit in the new Museum of Liverpool - The clock we threw it away - Everton that moment - doh -

It was in a salvage yard - & it ended up in his back garden - at least he was a blue - but it shows how bad the club was run even back then - I went on a Ground tour on my birthday many, many years ago - Dave Hickson had just stopped doing them because of ill health it was done professionally by a member of staffs wife -I seem to remember several years ago granada reports talking to some guy who had one of the clocks in his garden shed ??
So much truth in what you say missed opportunity going back years & years chickens have certainly come homeIt was in a salvage yard - & it ended up in his back garden - at least he was a blue - but it shows how bad the club was run even back then - I went on a Ground tour on my birthday many, many years ago - Dave Hickson had just stopped doing them because of ill health it was done professionally by a member of staffs wife -
I went with a wad of cash to buy stuff & have a meal -
I could not even buy a cup of tea....the stuff given away was too much - I came away thinking Prescott Cables must be run better than this -
Many years on, the chickens have come home to roost - sadly - BK has a lot to answer for - if a top player does a ground tour - the price trebles - not for the club - I suspect for their pockets .... Gordon Watson & Dave Hickson did it for the love of our club -
IMO get them in & think about selling merchandise etc - for our club not prima dona players who i suspect demand a higher wage for it, who were not to lace the boots of the other two mentioned who did it for their love of the club ....
I think Howard kendal scored one of the fastest goals seen at goodison ?Everton V Chelsea -1969/70 Gordon West fingertip save in a memorable 5-2 win in the championship run in that season -
