A man with an important place in Everton’s history. Archibald Leitch oversaw the design/construction of three of Goodison’s four stands in use until 1970. The Bullens Road and Gwladys Street stands remain as a testament to his great original design.
Not many know that Liverpool FC for a the first part of their history were called Everton Football Club and Athletic Ground ever after Everton moved to Goodison. Houlding later changed the name to Liverpool FC after the FA refused to let them play a s Everton. Subsequently forcing Holding to name EFCA - Liverpool FC.
