Deffo 1969. 1968 was the nirvana of beating Leeds 1-0....that game at Villa was the polar opposite....

...wasn't it just, I can still see Tommy Booth smashing that goal in the last minute. Mind you, we did ok in a few semi finals at Villa Park in the mid 80s.

Possibly the best ever name : Smart Arridge, played between 1893-1897.

Born in Sunderland. Family moved to Wales. Originally played for Bangor, but was bought by Bootle. Moved to Everton and appeared 56 times. After missing out on being in the 1897 Cup Final side, he apparently got in a snot and left for New Brighton. Having lived in Wales for some time, he qualified to play for that country, and won 8 caps. Fascinating to see old photos of blues...
